BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (WVVA) - The Scott Street Demolition Project continues in Bluefield, despite minor setbacks from Hurricane Sandy's snowstorm.
Bluefield City Manager Jim Fergason says the demolition project is still going strong, and more is being accomplished than what appears on the outside.
Fergason says the project is expected to be completed around January, but completion is weather permitting.
The Bluefield Board of Directors approved a payment of $211,980.41 to Swope Construction Co. for application #3 of the demolition project at the board meeting in Bluefield on Tuesday.
