Concord University is honoring service men and women by participating the Remembrance Day National Roll Call.
Simultaneous ceremonies are being held across the nation. Students, teachers, faculty, and even veterans are taking part in the event at 93 colleges and universities in 37 states.
The names of 6,500 fallen soldiers were read Monday. At 11:00 A.M. participating schools throughout the county also paused for a moment of silence.
Lisa Spencer, the Veterans Coordinator at Concord University said,"We feel that it is very important to participate in this program just to honor and give back to veterans just a portion of what they've done for us."
