BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) -- Virginia Tech is establishing a bachelor's degree program designed for careers in the real estate industry.
Virginia Tech's Board of Visitors unanimously approved the new bachelor of science degree program on Monday.
The program will include architecture, building construction, business, applied economics, engineering, property management and natural resources. Virginia Tech says in a news release that it will be the first interdisciplinary undergraduate program in the nation to include these academic strengths.
The new program is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2013, pending approval by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia.
