ROANOKE, VA (November 2, 2012)—Kroger's Mid-Atlantic region begins a special campaign Saturday to help victims of Hurricane Sandy for the next two weeks.
"Our hearts go out to those who have suffered losses from the devastating hurricane," said Allison McGee, spokesperson. "Kroger customers and employees in the Mid-Atlantic region have always been generous in supporting their fellow Americans in need, so we are making it easy for them to join the relief effort."
Kroger coin boxes placed at each check-out lane in all stores in the Mid-Atlantic region will be available for customers to donate to the disaster relief fund established by the American Red Cross. Anyone preferring to donate directly to the American Red Cross may do so by visiting www.Kroger.com.
Kroger's special campaign for victims of Hurricane Sandy continues through November 17. For information, contact Allison McGee at 540 563-3629.
Kroger operates 122 stores in Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and the eastern portions of Tennessee, Kentucky and Ohio from the Mid-Atlantic region headquarters in Roanoke.
