Brittany Williams is the WVVA News Today Morning Anchor and Noon Anchor. She is also a Multimedia Journalist. Brittany joined WVVA in October 2012.
She grew up in a close-knit community in Sebring, Fl. An anchor as early as Elementary School, then through High School and College, she couldn't picture doing anything else.
Williams graduated from the University of Florida, where she loved cheering on the Florida Gators. While in college she worked as a Reporter for the on-campus PBS affiliate WUFT. During the same period she was an Associate Producer and Reporter for the local ABC station WCJB. She also has family in Ohio, and spent a summer interning at WOIO in Cleveland.
After graduation she left behind everything familiar to head west to South Dakota. There Brittany wore many hats at the Rapid City NBC affiliate KNBN. She was a Producer, Morning Anchor, Reporter, and Web Editor. After just one year she was promoted to the Evening Anchor position. At KNBN Brittany had the opportunity to work with many local non-profits and helped the Make-A-Wish Foundation to double its goal when raising air miles to send families on dream vacations.
Brittany is happy to be back east and is excited to explore this beautiful area and get to know her new community.
