OAK RIDGE (WVVA) - Fayette County authorities are searching for a suspect wanted in the armed robbery of a grocery store.
The incident occurred at 7:46 p.m. at Ball's Grocery Store in Oak Ridge when a masked man entered the store brandishing a knife and demanded money.
The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in an older model white Jeep Cherokee.
The vehicle left southbound on Route 16.
The suspect has been identified as Randy Colton Treadway, 20 of Beckwith. The suspect vehicle may bear the WV registration 3TC563.
The suspect is described as a thin white male, 5'8" tall, 150 pounds with dark hair and eyes. He was wearing a dark blue 'OP' jacket, blue jeans and boots.
Criminal charges including armed robbery will be immediately pending.
The incident remains under investigation.
