WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS (WVVA) - A Greenbrier County man is behind bars after allegedly threatening a local hospital and its staff on Facebook.

David Nathan Maupin, 28, of White Sulphur Springs is charged with threats of terrorist acts for a Facebook status update police say he posted while at the emergency room of Greenbrier Valley Medical Center with his mother.

Maupin was apparently dissatisfied with the care his mother was receiving at the hospital when he posted the following comments, according to the police report of the incident. Note, profanity has been edited for publishing.

"Getting ready to burn this hospital to the ground every doctor over here is nothing but a ignorant f*** that should be flippin burgers instead to having patients i swear to god i will kill everyone over here burn there houses down and p*** on the ashes if anything happens to my mother mark my d*** words"

Maupin is currently being held at Southern Regional Jail on $50,000 bond.
