TAZEWELL (WVVA) - They worked together as governors, now they hope to work together again as senators.
W.Va. Senator Joe Manchin and Va. Senate hopeful Tim Kaine were together at Pyott-Boone in Tazewell to tour the facility and answer employee questions.
The two discussed the importance of the coal industry in the Two Virginias.
Kaine's U.S. Senate opponent, Republican George Allen, is scheduled to campaign with U.S. Rep. Morgan Griffith Friday at noon at the V & V Restaurant in Richlands.
Manchin is defending his Senate seat against Republican challenger John Raese on the November ballot.
