MOSSY (WVVA) - A woman remains in critical condition following a rollover accident in Fayette County Tuesday.

Police say 24-year-old Marysa Smith of Scarbro was west traveling on Route 612 in Mossy around 3:52 p.m. when she lost control of the Pontiac Montana minivan she was driving.

Police said the van apparently ran off the roadway, struck an embankment and flipped. First responders found the van on its top in the roadway.

It took crews approximately 30 minutes to extricate Smith from the vehicle. She was transported to a nearby landing zone where she was flown to Charleston Area Medical Center via HealthNet.

No other injuries were reported.
