Snow Leopard Cubs Doing Well in Preserve

Two snow leopard cubs are doing well at an animal preserve in northwest China. The twins were born in July, the second successful snow leopard captive birth there since 1983. Snow leopards are an endangered species and zoos around the world are trying to increase their number. Snow leopards live in high altitude areas and they have problems adapting to low altitude life. The mother was fed a special recipe to ensure her and her cubs' health. This preserve was exclusively built for snow leopards.
