Va. Crime Commission to examine concealed gun law

Posted:

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Virginia's concealed weapons law is one of three issues on the state Crime Commission's agenda.

The commission meets Tuesday morning at the General Assembly Building in Richmond.

The General Assembly last winter asked the commission to examine a proposal to reorganize the concealed weapons law. The commission's staff also will compile a list of additional statutes that will need to be amended if the concealed-carry law is revamped.

The commission also will hear reports on law enforcement training academies and the drug case workload at the Department of Forensic Science.
