Mitigation Information Will Be Offered in Fayette County

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The West Virginia Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be distributing mitigation materials to people at Lowe's in Fayetteville beginning Sept. 27 and continuing through Oct. 12.
 
Lowe's is located at 46 Fayette Town Center Rd. in Fayetteville. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
 
FEMA specialists will be on hand to explain better building techniques that can lessen loss to homes, businesses and property from any future wind damage. Information also will be available for repairing damage to trees.
 
The public is encouraged to drop by and pick up informative materials and speak with mitigation experts about their homes and businesses.
 
FEMA's mission is to support our citizens and first responders to ensure that as a nation we work together to build, sustain, and improve our capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to recover from, and mitigate all hazards.
