BEAVER (WVVA) - Two drivers had to be extricated from their vehicles following a head-on crash in Beaver Tuesday.

The crash occurred when a 1991 Chevy S10 driven by 18-year-old David Hosler of Beaver crossed the center line on Ritter Drive near Warrenizing Cleaners, striking a 2004 Chevy Blazer driven by 53-year-old Jerry Hodges -- also of Beaver -- head on.

Both drivers were entrapped and had to be cut from the vehicles by a crew from the Beaver Volunteer Fire Department.

The Mabscott Volunteer Fire Department and several Jan Care ambulances also responded to the scene.

The victims were transported to area hospitals. The extent of their injuries are unknown at this time.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Raleigh County Sheriff's Department.
