Maloney Talks Voter ID in Town Hall Meeting

Posted:

BECKLEY (WVVA)--- Republican candidate for Governor Bill Maloney was in Beckley Wednesday night to meet with Southern West Virginian's in a town hall meeting.

Maloney met with interested voters for about an hour to talk about a wide range of topics from taxes to prescription drug problems.

"What I like about Bill Maloney is that he is a businessman. He is not involved with law or education," said Chuck Farmer.

"He is a business man, he knows how to balance the books."

Maloney also got into one of his opponents in the November election, the man who defeated him last October in a special election, something Maloney thinks there is more to.

"No one is even looking at my election from last fall, where we lost by a total of 7500 votes, 6000 of which came in Logan County, where I only got 6% of the vote," said Maloney.

"Lost 14 to 1, there is something not quite right. If that doesn't scream voter ID I do not know what is."
