POCAHONTAS Va. (WVVA) - A local historian has been appointed to serve on the Tazewell County Board of Supervisors.
Tom Childress of Pocahontas will fill the seat formerly held by Dr. Thomas Brewster.
Brewster resigned to become the superintendent of schools in Pulaski County.
Childress' appointment is on an interim basis.
