MOUNT OLIVE, W.Va. (AP) -- A Mount Olive Correctional Complex inmate accused in the death of another inmate last year has been indicted in an alleged assault on another man.

A Fayette County grand jury on Thursday indicted 27-year-old Christopher Cox on attempted murder and malicious assault charges.

The Charleston Gazette (http://bit.ly/R3uIkc) reports Cox is accused of breaking a broomstick and stabbing 35-year-old inmate Talbert Dehaven III on April 11.

Cox was previously indicted on a murder charge in the September 2011 death of Mount Olive inmate Joseph Braddock. Fayette County Prosecutor Carl Harris says no trial has been set in that case.

Cox has served seven years of a 30-year sentence for second-degree murder and second-degree robbery.
