WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS (WVVA) - Stan Sweet, beloved WVVA weatherman and quick draw champion, was remembered at funeral services as Greenbrier County Monday.
Those who paid their final respects Monday said they would always cherish the memories he left behind.
Randy Wilkinson, Sweet's stepson, said he lived a life to be proud of.
"One of the loves of his life was the people around him," Wilkinson said. "It was his goal -- his desire -- to be an entertainer that touched other people's hearts. And he did that so well."
Family of Sweet thanked the community for its overwhelming show of support and love in the last week.
Stan Sweet may be gone, but his larger-than-life personality lives on with those who knew or watched him.
