Community comes together to fight crime

BRUSHFORK (WVVA) - A Mercer County community is saying 'no' to crime.

A community in Brushfork started a neighborhood watch program, and say crime has dropped since the program began.

Friday, the group honored David White with a Community Citizenship award that was presented by County Commissioner Mike Vinciguerra.

The West Virginia State Police say such groups are an asset to law enforcement.

If you would like to start a community watch group in your neighborhood, contact the West Virginia State Police.
