BLUEFIELD (WVVA) - Many children in the Two Virginias are dependent on the school system for their nutrition -- some go without evening meals and healthy foods over the weekends.
In order to help solve the issue in Mercer County, the Maple View Church of Christ is asking for volunteers to help package 8,000 meals in two hours.
The volunteers are needed Sunday at 2 p.m. at the church, beside the Mercer Mall.
