CANEBRAKE (WVVA) - A boil water advisory has been issued for several McDowell County communities following a line break.
The break in the 8 inch main line occurred Monday in the Canebrake area, according to a release from the McDowell County PSD.
As a result, the communities of Cucumber, Newhall, Squire and Jacobs Fork are under a boil water advisory until further notice.
Officials say repairs have been made to the line. The issues are expected to be resolved within 10 days.
Customers should bring water to a full rolling boil before use.
