PRINCETON (WVVA) - A Mercer County Day Report officer has been fired after allegedly having sex with an inmate he was supervising.
Christopher Franklin, 25, of Bluefield was working as a home confinement officer for the Day Report Center in Bluefield.
Franklin was fired when officials were notified of the alleged incident.
Mercer County Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ash said Franklin is charged with sexual intrusion on an inmate.
Franklin is scheduled to go before a magistrate on Sept. 4.
