Wyoming Co. man gets 10 years in brother's death

PINEVILLE -- A Wyoming County man was sentenced to ten years in prison pursuant to his guilty plea to voluntary manslaughter in the death of his brother, according to Wyoming County Prosecuting Attorney Rick Staton.

Verlin Todd Cline, 46, was sentenced by Circuit Judge Warren R. McGraw as part of a plea agreement.  Cline had been charged in the stabbing death of his brother, Adam Cline, on April 9, 2011. 

According to the investigation by Deputy Sheriff Will Hall, Adam Cline went to the house where his brother was staying, and an argument ensued.  During the course of the argument, Adam Cline was stabbed.  He went into the woods and was later found dead from the stab wound.
