UPDATE: BECKLEY (WVVA) - A suspect who escaped from work release in Raleigh County Thursday has been captured.
Authorities announced that Michael Shaun Sampson was apprehended Friday evening in the Beckley area.
More details of the capture were not released.

BECKLEY (WVVA) - Police are searching for an escapee from Raleigh County.
Michael Shaun Sampson, 29, escaped from the Beckley Correction Center while on work release around 4 p.m. Thursday.
Sampson is described as 5'9", 176 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
He has multiple tattoos on both hands and forearms, including three dots on the top of his right hand, 'Mike' on his right forearm, a dot on the top of his left hand, dice on his right forearm, on his left front upper arm: flames with 'Tru Playa MS'
Sampson was serving time for burglary in Harrison County.
