Cumberland Road fire station closed due to staffing

Posted:

BLUEFIELD (WVVA) - The Bluefield Fire Station on Cumberland Road has been forced to close due to staffing issues.

The department needs at least six people to be at full staff at both the Cumberland Road and Central stations. Due to job vacancies and vacations, the department currently does not have the manpower to open both stations.

Chief Glenn Suphlin says the station could reopen when the department returns to full staff.
