CHARLESTON,W.Va. (AP) -- State and U.S. flags at state buildings in West Virginia have been lowered in memory of the shooting victims at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin ordered the lowering of the flags to half-staff Monday. Tomblin says in a news release that the flags will remain at half-staff until sunset on Friday.

President Barack Obama has ordered that U.S. flags be flown at half-staff at the White House and other federal buildings through Friday.

Six people were killed at the temple in suburban Milwaukee on Sunday. Authorities say police shot and killed the gunman, Wade Michael Page.
