2nd Warmest July for Bluefield

BLUEFIELD. (WVVA) -- The National Weather Service has listed July as the second warmest July on record for Bluefield, W. Va. The average temperature during the month was 75.4 degrees which was just shy of the #1 spot of 76.2 in 2011. The top 3 warmest Julys on record were the last 3 years.

In Beckley, this July was the 4th warmest on record.

In Roanoke, VA, July 2012 was the #1 warmest on record with an average temperature of 80.8 degrees-breaking the record of 2011 and 1993.

Danville and Richmond recorded their second-warmest Julys on record, while Blacksburg had its fourth warmest and Lynchburg its eighth warmest.
