CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WVVA) -- Members of West Virginia's congressional delegation say funding totaling more than $2.2 million is headed to the state for seven highway and scenic byway improvements.

Rep. Nick Rahall and Sens. Joe Manchin and Jay Rockefeller say the funding follows enactment of the Surface Transportation Act of 2012.

Some of the funding would go the Elk River Scenic Byway to provide signs, the historic Sistersville ferry for dock improvements and a navigation system, and safety improvements along U.S. 60 west near Charleston.

The funding also contains nearly a half million dollars for accessibility and parking improvements at the Camp 70 road overlook and a new truck parking project near the Nitro exit on I-64.
