Ronceverte, W.Va.-- A man is killed in a fatal crash in Greenbrier County.
Deputies say it happened Wednesday around 8 p.m. on US Route 219 near Ronceverte.
It appears the driver was traveling at excessive speeds and lost control of his vehicle while entering a turn. The vehicle went off the highway and hit a tree, rolling several times into a field. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. It is believed that alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash.
The accident is still under investigation. Police are withholding the identity of the driver.
