HERNDON, Va. (WVVA) -- Herndon police say officers have found the body of an unidentified man while investigating a hit-and-run accident that killed a woman.
Police say the body was found Wednesday afternoon in a creek near the accident scene. Earlier Wednesday, police said they were searching for the woman's husband, whose car was found nearby.
Police say officers found the woman in the 600 block of Center Street early Wednesday morning. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman is not being identified pending notification of family members.
Authorities say a black Toyota found a short distance away had struck several other vehicles.
