Obama wraps up swing-state trip in Leesburg

LEESBURG, Va. (WVVA) -- President Obama is wrapping up a two-day campaign swing in northern Virginia.

Thursday night's event is scheduled at Loudoun County High School in Leesburg. Tickets were distributed through the campaign's local offices.

Obama began the campaign swing Wednesday in Ohio and was also scheduled to be in Orlando on Thursday. On Wednesday in Mansfield, Ohio, Obama argued for his tax plan, which calls for rate increases on families earning more than $250,000 a year.

Local Republicans are planning a press event Thursday morning in Leesburg to counter Obama's message.

Fast-growing Loudoun County is a key battleground in Virginia. Obama won Loudoun by eight points four years ago, but in 2009 Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell won Loudoun by more than 20 points.
