Business flying high at Greenbrier Valley Airport

Posted:

LEWISBURG (WVVA)-- Business is flying high at the Greenbrier Valley Airport.

The airport is getting a one million dollar grant for improvements and expansion. In the past year, the airport has had a 300 percent increase in air traffic.

The money will be spent on expanding their terminal building and purchasing new equipment to help flight operations during inclement weather.

The grant will come in handy because Greenbrier Valley will now be offering non-stop flights to Atlanta and Dulles airports.

The airport will welcome its first flight from Atlanta on Wednesday.
