PINEY VIEW (WVVA) - A Fayette County man has been killed in a crash in Raleigh County.
The Raleigh County Sheriff's Department says David K. Walker, 51, of Prince died when the GMC 2500 pickup truck he was driving crashed on Route 41 in the Piney View area of Stanaford Road around 6 p.m. Tuesday evening.
Police say the truck apparently left the roadway, the driver then overcorrected and lost control. The truck skidded across the highway, struck an embankment and flipped several times.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say speed appears to have been a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
Fire departments from Bradley Prosperity and Mount Hope, and General Ambulance responded to the scene.
