W.Va. police ID 4 people killed in head-on crash

WALLBACK, W.Va. (AP) -- West Virginia State Police have identified two Maryland men and two Pennsylvania men who were killed in a head-on collision on Interstate 79.

State police tell media outlets that one victim, 20-year-old Tavon Jamal Frisby of Middle River, Md. participated in student orientation activities at the University of Charleston shortly before the Saturday accident in Roane County.

A northbound car driven by Frisby crossed the grassy median and hit a southbound car driven by Steven Ranjo of Philadelphia.

The other victims were 19-year-old Cameron Marcus Shields of Middle River, who was a passenger in Frisby's car, and Ranjo's father, 88-year-old Leo Ranjo of Philadelphia.

The accident remains under investigation.
