MONROE COUNTY (WVVA) - Human remains have been found outside of a missing Monroe County man's home.
Police say that the remains were found outside of 56-year old Harry B. Alfriend's home in a brushy area outside about 100 yards from the home.
Police say the body is being sent to the Medical Examiner to see if it is the body of Alfriend.
They say the decomposition of the body matches the timeframe of Alfriend's disappearance.
State Police told WVVA News last Monday that the man was reported missing after failing to show up for a doctor's appointment in Pennsylvania.
Alfriend suffered from cancer and diabetes. He had last been seen by a neighbor on July 10.
