Man Arrested for Prescription Fraud

LEWISBURG (WVVA)- A Greenbrier County Man is arrested after allegedly forging a prescription to multiple pharmacies in Greenbrier County in order to obtain roxicodone.

29-year-old Justin Alex Taylor was arrested after Fritz Pharmacy in Lewisburg notified police when he attempted to pass the prescription.

According to the criminal complaint, when pharmacists questioned Taylor on the authenticity of the prescription, he left.

According to the criminal complaint, Taylor admitted to police in falsely identifying himself when calling pharmacies, and that he had tried filling the prescription at multiple pharmacies throughout the county.

When police arrested Taylor, a prescription bottle filled with fentanyl, a schedule 2 prescription and a loaded Smith and Wesson 380 was also found.

According to the criminal complaint, the forged prescription was written on Beckley Vascular Associates PLLC from Brian Whyte, MD, RVT.
