Second Chance concert rescheduled

Posted:

BLUEFIELD (WVVA) - The second chance for Bluefield's highly anticipated 'Second Chance Rocks the Two Virginias' concert has been scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 26 at Mitchell Stadium.

The initial concert on June 29 was in progress when a damaging storm roared through the region, forcing organizers to call off the show and evacuate the stadium.

The storm caused widespread wind damage and knocked out utilities for some residents for up to two weeks.

According to the Second Chance Learning Center's Facebook page, gates will open at 5 p.m. with Andy Crawford taking the stage from 6:15-6:45.

Jake Owen will return to perform from 7-8 p.m. and Eric Church will be back from 8:30-10 p.m.

Concert-goers must have their ticket stub, credit card receipt or Ticketmaster receipt to enter the show. Organizers say they are unable to replace lost, stolen or discarded tickets.

Additional tickets will be available to purchase at the Second Chance Learning Center or ticketmaster.com beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, July 23.

Anyone with questions can contact concert@secondchancelearning.com.
