BECKLEY (WVVA) - Customers of Mountaineer Gas voiced their disapproval of a proposed rate hike at a public hearing Thursday night.
Mountaineer Gas is seeking a more than 5 percent increase, which would raise the average bill by $3.40.
The Public Service Commission could vote on the increase next week.
Thursday's meeting was held at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.
