Fayette Co. church wants to upgrade emergency preparedness

Posted:

FAYETTEVILLE (WVVA) - Volunteers at a local church that has served as a makeshift shelter for storm victims want to take their efforts to the next level.

Members at the Church of God in Fayetteville are trying to create a full-blown emergency shelter so they'll be ready when the next disaster strikes.

To achieve their goal, the church will need approximately $40,000 to buy an emergency generator and make upgrades to the kitchen.

To help the effort, donations are being accepted at the Fayette County Bank, Care Of Fayetteville Church of God Disaster Relief Center, 101 North Court Street, PO Box 209, Fayetteville, WV, 25840.
