W.Va. farmers urged to report weather damage

Posted:

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Commissioner of Agriculture Gus R. Douglass says West Virginia farmers should report losses due to storms and heat to the federal Farm Service Agency.

The Farm Service Agency doesn't have a program for livestock or bees. But Douglass says farmers should still keep records of any losses.

Douglass says Congress is considering a farm bill that could make assistance available for livestock and bee losses.
