BRMC undergoing emergency department renovations

Posted:

BLUEFIELD (WVVA) - The Emergency Department at Bluefield Regional Medical Center will be undergoing much needed renovations beginning today.  The first phase of the renovations is scheduled to begin in the walk-in entrance in the Emergency Department and the waiting area.

Once the first phase of the renovation process is completed in approximately 4 weeks, the Emergency Walk-In Entrance will resume with normal activities and phase two will begin.  While phase one renovations will focus on the Emergency Walk-in Entrance, waiting area and triage offices, phase two will involve the nursing station and the flooring in the hallway areas.

"The renovations to our main lobby and new endoscopy unit were completed in April.  Both projects went extremely well and exactly by the timeline.  I anticipate our Emergency Department renovations to do the same.  BRMC has a commitment to the community to provide excellent quality care and we are continuing to work hard to uphold that obligation," Bill Hawley, BRMC CEO, stated.
