Water Advisory

Posted:

BECKLEY (WVVA) -  The storms have wreaked havoc on water systems, forcing some agencies to issue boil advisories.  Downed trees and power lines have caused many water pumps to malfunction or just stop working altogether.  To make matters worse, many water lines have leaked due to the destruction of the storms.  Officials say if you notice any discoloration or odor from your water you are advised to boil.  And if your water is tied to your power, you should have a back-up plan.
