BLUEFIELD (WVVA)--- For the second time in as many nights the Bluefield Blue Jays and the Princeton Rays lost in the same night.
The Jays were trying to win the series against Danville Friday night, but as the rain started to fall, so did the runs for the Braves.
With no one on in the second Edison Sanchez took Tom Robson deep to left field. The homerun opened the scoring up for the Braves.
Later in the inning a safety squeeze by Gerardo Reyes extended the lead to 2-0.
The Jays would fight back though, Dwight Smith Junior legged out a double and was later brought home by Seth Conner.
However the Jays scattered 12 hits, and the Braves took advantage of their 12 hits, scoring 13 runs. Felix Marte hit two homeruns in the game and had 5 RBI's to go along with it.
In Pulaski, Princeton got down 5-0 through the first two innings and later 6-0. The Rays were able to come back though with two homeruns from Darryl George.
But the mountain was too high to climb for the Rays as they went on to lose 6-5.
The loss wrapped up the series with Pulaski, up next the Rays return home to take on Danville to try and regain first place in the division.
