UPDATE: Storms bring fresh round of wind, rain, outages

BECKLEY (WVVA) - Another round of summer storms brought wind and rain to residents across the Two Virginias Thursday.

Fresh power outages were reported from WVVA viewers in Bluefield in Mercer County and Claypool Hill in Tazewell County.

Viewers in Raleigh, McDowell and Wyoming counties reported high winds and rain triggering minor flooding in yards and roadways.

A driver was trapped in his truck in Beckley for approximately 30 minutes after power lines fell on his vehicle during a storm around 1 p.m.
