Mayor Andy Pendleton is asking everyone whose electricity is off to turn throw their main breaker to off so that nobody's appliances or homes are damaged by a power surge when the power comes back on.
-Go-Mart in Rainelle is offering free ice.
-The Laundromat in Rainelle is open with six washing machines and three driers.
-The Rainelle Fire Department is offering free water and MRE – military "meals ready to eat" – at the Fire House.
-Generators and batteries are for sale at Western Auto, Flint's Hardware, and Ace Hardware in Rainelle.
-Kroger's in Rainelle is open with air conditioning!
-Rite-Aide in Rainelle is open
-The boil water advisory is still in effect for Lilly Park. No boil water advisory for Town of Rainelle.
-The Rainelle Medical Center cooling station is open. RMC also has food.
-The Red Cross plans a food distribution at First Baptist Church, 7th Street at Main Street, this evening (Thursday), time to be announced.
-Because the Charleston Post Office sorting center is down, there are long mail delays.
-No charge for spoiled food and waste disposal in dumpsters across from the Army Reserve Armory. Welcome everyone needing to get rid of waste, not just Town of Rainelle citizens.
