BLUEFIELD (WVVA) - In a live interview on WVVA News at Noon, Appalachian Power President Charles Patton said the number of outages experienced after Friday's storm is twice as large as any other storm in the last 30 years.

Patton urged residents to use caution when clearing debris and assured those without service that power will be restored as soon as possible.

Patton said crews from several other states are aiding in the restoration efforts. Crews expect to have power fully restored by Saturday.
