UPDATE: Traffic stalls as customers seek gas

BLUEFIELD (WVVA) - Interstate traffic was reported to be slow moving on both sides of Mercer County Saturday as motorists searched for service stations with electricity and the ability to supply gasoline.

Reports from Raleigh and Fayette counties said that very few gas stations were able to operate Saturday.

Heavy traffic in the Exit 9 area of Princeton was reported in Mercer County.

Callers reported to WVVA News that both north and southbound traffic on I-77 was slowed. With traffic delayed from the Ghent toll booths to Mercer County.

Multiple residents reported searching for generators to purchase, only to discover none were available in the immediate area.
