BLUEFIELD (WVVA)-- Mitchell Stadium is known for its crisp fall nights that usually feature two opposing teams looking to pickup a win. But for the past few days there has been a complete makeover of the stadium for the 2nd Chance Rocks the Two Virginias Concert.
A stage and over 9,000 chair now reside on the turf field, surrounding that sits numbers of portable bathrooms and vendor tents. The concert that is featuring Eric Church among others is expected to draw well over 15,000 people.
"A lot of hours and a lot of sweat, I mean it takes a lot of help just because we have so many people coming," said Eric Robinson Executive Director of the Second Chance Learning Center.
For the out-of-town vendors, seeing what 2nd Chance has done to Mitchell Stadium, is very impressing.
"This is unique because a lot of the places you go to its just like a stage and open field. But here they transformed it into something good and that brings in a lot of people also, you have a lot of sitting room," said Jason Hubbard a vendor from Florida.
