Crews battle a fire at Richlands Elementary School in Tazewell County on Wednesday.
It started shortly before 4 p.m. It is believed a fan caught fire in a second-floor classroom, which then spread to some books. There is some smoke and water damage to the building.
Firefighters say five people were inside the school when it caught fire and all of them made it out safely.
