ABINGDON (WVVA)-The manhunt for an accused child molester is over.
The Tazewell County Sheriff's Department says 26-year-old Timothy Asbury turned himself into authorities this morning at 1:30 a.m.
According to Chief Deputy Major Harold Heatley, Asbury was brought in by a family member. He is currently being held at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail Authority without bond.
Law enforcement officers in two states were looking for Asbury, who is accused of assaulting an eight year old boy. Asbury has ties to the War area of McDowell County.
