Area Flood Victims Seek Relief from FEMA

Posted:

RAINELLE (WVVA)- After dozens of Greenbrier County homes have fallen victim to flooding, homeowners are getting a chance to speak out.

A meeting will be held Monday, June 25th at Rainelle City Hall to discuss the State FEMA HMGP Buyout Project.

State and FEMA Representatives of the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) will be in attendance to explain the program and eligibility for inclusion in the HMGP Application.

Officials say that there are also other programs available for flood victims that they may not realize that they qualify for.

The meeting begins at 6:00 PM. If anyone wishes to be a participant in the State/FEMA HMGP (BUYOUT) project, it is essential to attend this meeting.
